Chain (ch)
Catch thread with hk and draw through lp, repeat for desired number of st with consistent tension





Single Crochet (sc)
insert hook under 2 top strands, draw thread through, thread over hk and draw through 2 lps on hk



Half Double Crochet (hdc)
thread over hk, insert hk under 2 top strands, thread over hk once and draw through all 3 lps

Double Crochet  (dc)
thread over hk, insert hk under 2 top strands and draw through, thread over hk once and draw through 2 lps, thread over hk once again and draw through 2 lps

Slip Stitch (ss)
insert hk under 2 top strands, draw thread through 1 lp on hk

Treble Crochet (tr)
thread over hk twice, insert hk under 2 top strands and draw through, thread over hk once and draw through 2 lps, then repeat 2 more times



Double Crochet 3 Together (dc3tog)





3 Double Crochet in same stitch



3 Double Crochet Puff (3-dc puff)
work 3 incomplete dc in same st (retaining last lp of each dc on hk), thread over hk and draw through all lps on hk, ch 1 to tighten st

Round Picot
ch 3, insert hk into st at base of ch, thread over hk and draw through lps (use ch 5 for bigger picots).

5 Double Crochet Popcorn (5-dc pop)

work 5 dc in same st. Drop lp from hk, insert hk in first dc and draw lp of 5th dc through, ch 1 to tighten st
